  • A CIV FOR ALL PLAYERS: Civilization VI provides veteran players with new ways to create and tune their civilization for the best chance of success. New tutorial systems introduce new players to the underlying concepts in order that they can easily start.

DETAILS OF THE GAME:

  • Similar to previous installments, the goal for the player is to develop a civilization from an early settlement through many millennia to become a major power and achieve one among several victory conditions, like through military domination, technological superiority, or cultural influence, over the opposite human and computer-controlled opponents. Players do that by exploring the planet, founding new cities, building city improvements, deploying military troops to attack and defend from others, researching new technologies and cultural civics, and engaging in trade and negotiations with other world leaders.
  • The game featured several civilizations not featured in previous incarnations of Civilization, while many returning civilizations had new capitals or new leaders. A critical design focus was to avoid having the player follow a pre-set path of improvements towards their civilization which that they had observed from earlier games. Civilization VI places more emphasis on the terrain by “unstacking” city districts from the most city tile and giving bonuses for putting districts near-certain terrain types.
  • Other new features include research on the game’s technology tree supported nearby terrain, an identical technology tree for cultural improvements and a far better government civics structure for those playing on a cultural victory path, and new AI mechanics for computer-controlled opponents that include secret goals and randomized engagements to disrupt an otherwise stable game.
  • The game’s first major expansion, Civilization VI: Rise and Fall, was released in February 2018, a second expansion, Civilization VI: Gathering Storm, followed in February 2019 and a season pass, The New Frontier Pass, in May 2020.

DEVELOPMENT

The game was developed by an equivalent Firaxis Games team that developed the expansions on Civilization V, and most of the new mechanics introduced in these were present in Civilization VI at its launch.

EXPANSIONS

RISE AND FALL

  • The first expansion, Rise and Fall, was released on February 8, 2018, and brought the concepts of the rising and falling of civilizations. The cities have loyalty, if the loyalty goes too low, the city becomes a free city and may join other civilizations.
  • Civilization has the potential to enter into a Golden Age by completing certain milestones and may choose a special bonus therein age, but if the player does not maintain certain milestones afterward, the civilization could fall under a Dark Age, affecting loyalty.
  • In a Dark Age, the player can prefer to implement powerful Dark Age policies, but they need a price. If the player gets a Dark Age followed by a golden age, instead of getting a golden age, it gets a Heroic Age, with the right of choosing 3 bonuses.
  • The expansion also adds governors, which increase the loyalty of cities and award a special bonus thereto city, by promoting governors, you add another bonus thereto.

GATHERING STORM

The game’s second major expansion, Gathering Storm, was announced in November 2018 and was released on February 14, 2019. The expansion added, among other features, impacts from natural disasters like floods, volcanoes, and droughts that affect gameplay. Additionally, a new climate system was added to track climate change throughout the player’s game, with the potential for additional environmental effects to result from this. Existing civilizations and leaders were rebalanced to reflect these new gameplay additions respective to every civilization’s historical past, like Egypt having the ability to require advantage of river flooding for improved food production.

RED DEATH

A free update to the game released in September 2019 added a new multiplayer game mode called “Red Death”. This mode is like battle royale games for up to 12 players. Taking place on a post-apocalyptic world, each player controls one civilian unit and multiple offensive units that have got to protect the civilian unit from the opposite players, while at the same time, keeping the civilian unit out of range of an expanding “red death” zone that eventually covers the planet map. Meanwhile, these units can also scour the wasteland for resources that help to improve the supporting units. The mode was the result of an April Fools’ joke by Bradley Olson, the lead multiplayer gameplayer designer, who secretly added the basics of the mode on April 1. Once the mode was discovered, the project team found the mode to be fun and expanded the thought.

NEW FRONTIER

  • Firaxis announced in May 2020 that it will launch a “New Frontier” season pass for the game, consisting of six total content packs, each to release every other month starting in May through March 2021. A total of nine new leaders and eight new civilizations will be added through the six-packs, as well as new gameplay modes and additional features such as new wonders and buildings. There will also be additional free updates to the game for all players along with these content packs.
  • The first expansion featured the Maya civilization, led by Lady Six Sky, and Gran Colombia civilization, led by Simón Bolívar. The expansion also introduced a new game mode titled “Apocalypse.” In the Apocalypse game mode, natural disasters happen much more frequently. Once the world’s climate change level reaches a maximum, the world enters an apocalypse state, causing an even further increase to severe natural disasters and meteor strikes.
  • The second expansion featured the Ethiopian civilization, led by Menelik II, along with alternate costumes for Catherine de Medici and Teddy Roosevelt with different abilities, a new district called the Diplomatic Quarter, which gives improvements on diplomacy and espionage and the “Secret Societies” mode, that allows players to join one of four available secret societies, each with a different hidden agenda, including exclusive traits.

PORTS

  • Civilization VI was released for Microsoft Windows on October 21, 2016. The OS X version, developed by Aspyr Media, was released on October 24, 2016. At that time, Aspyr had been evaluating the feasibility of porting the title to Linux operating systems due to a large number of requests from players and announced in January 2017 that they planned to go ahead and complete the Linux port, which was eventually released in February 2017.
  • A version for iPad was released in December 2017, while a general iOS version (supporting iPhones) was released on October 4, 2018. The Rise & Fall expansion was released for iOS on July 24, 2019, while Gathering Storm was released on November 22, 2019.
  • A port for the Nintendo Switch was announced in September 2018 and was released on November 16, 2018. Cloud saves were added in April 2019 for both Windows and Switch versions through linking of a player’s Steam and 2K accounts, though only supported saved games from the base game at that point due to the lack of the expansions on the Switch. Both Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm expansions were available as an expansion bundle for the Switch version on November 22, 2019.
  • PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports were announced in September 2019. Both were released on November 22, 2019, alongside the Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions as separate and bundled downloadable content.

Civilization VI received “generally favorable reviews” for PC and Nintendo Switch, consistent with review aggregator Metacritic.

The game originally shipped with the ad tracking software Red Shell, but this was removed after complaints by players, some of whom characterized the software as spyware

JAPANESE GAMES AND EVENTS

Japanese games and events

Japanese games-

  • The game industry in Japan is the 3rd largest in the world, generating a total revenue of 12.5 billion dollars in 2017.
  • Japan has a long history in evolving and developing video game hardware and software and the recent international success of Sony and Nintendo prove that Japanese game companies are still applicable globally.
  • The console gaming market in Japan is growing again for the 1st time in 11 years with the triumphant sales performance of the Nintendo Switch. The industry grew around 1.2% in 2016. It might seem low compared to other Asian countries like China but this is mainly because the market is already developed and most consumers already have had access to for instance the mobile gaming infrastructure.
  • The ARPPU (Average Revenue Per Paid User) for mobile games in Japan is incredibly very high as compared to other companies around the world which meant clearly that Japanese gamers on average spend more than consumers in other countries.
  • Japan is known around the world as the home of prime game developers Nintendo Co., Sony Corp., Capcom Co. and Konami Holdings Corp., and about 1/2 the nation’s population of 127 million are said to play video games in some form or the other.
  • More than 1/2 of all revenue is generated by mobile games which is followed by console gaming and PC gaming a distant 3rd.
  • The mobile games are generally free-to-play (F2P), where monetization is achieved through what is called the ‘gacha’ mechanism in which the player uses some form of in-game currency to obtain unsystematic awards.

Gaming in Japan – Trends Old and New

  • Japan has always been a technological leader especially when it comes to gaming.
  • Classic Sega and Nintendo arcade and video games were developed in Japan, as were some of the biggest games in the PlayStation 2 era such as Final Fantasy and Resident Evil.
  • Although some people believe that the gaming industry is expiring in Japan due to eminent Western game developers creating games such as Halo and Call of Duty which appear to have gone past the industry and other forms of gaming are becoming popular in Japan.
  • Although in some parts of Japan people may think Bingo is a province or a sports car dealership, the game of bingo is becoming increasingly popular with many people learning how to play 75 ball bingo.

The Future

  • Japan has always been a world leader in technology and gaming in particular, and although their stance in console gaming has dropped, they are still important leading figures when it comes to mobile technology and new technologies such as virtual reality. Despite gambling being illegal in Japan, online gambling is remanded as acceptable, or at the very most frowned upon, as long as the company who runs the online gambling site is situated outside of Japan. Whether it’s arcade games, console games, online bingo, or the newest mobile app on the market, Japan is certain to have its foot in the door, despite having distinct differences from the rest of the world.

This game came out on other platforms a while back, but the Switch version of this game was released earlier this year. Not least because the challenges were changed around a bit and you got a Sabrecub in the free build mode. Anyway, this is a great game to have on the Switch. The sequel was released after a few months.

5.Monster Hunter: World

In some ways, it is more attainable than the historically more approved handheld versions but it is still a massive undertaking for any player. The objective of the game is to grow the longest worm in the server.

The game grew in popularity following its promotion among several prominent YouTube users like PewDiePie, and topped the App Store shortly after its release. Slither.io’s browser version was ranked by Alexa together of the 1,000 most visited sites by July 2016, while the iOS version ranked first within the most downloaded apps on the App Store. A mobile version of the sport for Android was released on March 27, 2016. The reception of the sport was positive, with reviewers praising its appearance and customization but criticizing it for its low replay value and therefore the high price users must pay to remove advertisements.

Slither.io is a famous multiplayer snake game online which will keep you addicted and busy for hours!

Slither and eat to grow longer. Can you become the longest player in Slither.io ?

Your goal is to become the most important and longest snake within the world.

Using a boost button (the lower right corner of the screen) can make the snake run faster but running fast will reduce the length of the snake. Slither to kill your enemies. Focus on the snake meat along the way, and eat as many as possible to become a bigger snake.

How to play:

  • Explode the snakes and eat their romains to be large.
  • Eject mass to extra speed with the proper down Button

Game Features:

  • You can play without internet connection
  • Controls with Mouse
  • Various skins.

Gameplay

The objective of the sport is to regulate a worm around a good area and eat pellets, defeating and consuming other players to realize mass to grow the most important and longest in the game. Once players are spawned into the virtual world, their avatar remains in constant motion. If the player’s worm’s head collides into a neighborhood of another worm, the player will die. The defeated avatar’s body turns into bright, shining pellets for other players to consume., equivalent to the amount of mass it took for the defeated avatar to get that long. These pellets that remain from “death” of an avatar will correspond to the colour of the avatar itself, and are both brighter and larger than “normal” pellets, which spawn naturally throughout the world. Normal pellets do not give as much mass as pellets dropped from other worms. “Chase” pellets will appear individually in various places of the world, and when eaten, give a greater amount of mass than pellets dropped by other worms. Chase pellets avoid worms and flee once they approach . Chase pellets can be obtained by boosting.

Skins

There are 16 default skins, all a special solid color alongside multiple repeating patterns. The colors are randomly chosen when the player joins the server. Players can prefer to customize their worm’s appearances using custom skins with unique designs including different countries’ flags, also as skins with motifs and colours representing well-known YouTubers, such as Jacksepticeye, Jelly and PewDiePie.Or, the player may choose to create their own skin, with a tool known as “Build a Slither,” which shows the different colors that an avatar are often made from , which will be placed on the worm upon clicking.

Development of the game

The game was using the WebSocket, a low-latency protocol supported by most major browsers, was sufficient and stable enough to run an HTML game almost like other games such as Agar.io. The most difficult a part of the event was in making each server stable enough to handle 600 players at a time. Howse struggled to seek out space on servers with enough space in regions where there was more demand and tried to avoid cloud services like Amazon Web Services, owing to the high cost that these services would incur based on the amount of bandwidth used.

After six months of development, Slither.io was released for browsers and iOS on Annunciation , 2016, with servers supporting up to 500 players. Two days after the iOS/browser versions’ release, an Android version was made available by Lowtech Studios. The only way Howse could make revenue was to display advertising in the app after the player’s worm died; this option could be removed for US$3.99. He chose not to sell virtual currency or power-ups so that those who paid would not have an advantage over players who did not. As there was no money to advertise for the game, the only way to promote the game was the various let’s played by players on YouTube, including PewDiePie, who had more than 47 million subscribers at the time.

Mobile version

There are three control schemes on the iOS and Android apps: “Classic”, where the worm follows the player’s finger; “Joystick”, where the left thumb controls the worm employing a virtual joystick and therefore the right thumb makes it go faster; and “Arrow”, which is strictly like Joystick but with an arrow above the worm’s head indicating the direction it’s moving in.

Reception

Soon after release, Slither.io reached the top of the App Store sales charts in the free software category in several regions, including the United States and the United Kingdom. By the end of 2016, Slither.io had become Google’s most searched video game of the year in the United States.

Popularity

By July 2016, the browser version’s website was ranked by Alexa as the 250th most visited site worldwide, but then experienced a decline in popularity, dropping below 1,000 by October 2016 before remaining mostly constant at approximately 1,700 by January 2017. In April 2017, Slither.io’s global rank then started declining further, reaching 2,800 by September 2017. By that same period, the game had already been downloaded more than 68 million times in mobile applications and played more than 67 million times in browsers, generating a daily income of US$100,000 for Howse.

  1. What are the basic rules of Tennis?

Tennis may be a game played on an oblong court by either two players (singles) or four (doubles).

In Tennis Clash it is only possible to play a singles match, which means there will only be two players on either side of the court. In this particular style of Tennis, players use the narrower singles court.

Players stand on opposite sides of a net and use a stringed racket to hit a ball back and forth to every other. Each player features a maximum of 1 bounce after it’s been hit by their opponent to return the shock to the internet and within the boundaries of the court. Once a player fails to do any of these things, the opponent wins a point!

The aim is to win enough points to win a set and enough sets to win a match. The first person to win six games wins a group . Matches are usually the simplest of three or the simplest of 5 sets.

  1. How does the Practice Mode work?

The best way to train your Tennis Clash abilities and also, test how you can hit the ball in different styles and intensities, is to train in Practice Mode!

In Practice Mode there will be a Tennis Ball Shooting Machine which will throw one ball after another. Always try to hit the ball cross-court (this is the best tennis strategy), testing how strong and fast you can swipe to hit the ball still aiming at the court boxes with the higher punctuation score!
